Vote Now!
If you follow me on social media then there's no way that you've missed my shameless attempts to get your vote in the UK Blog Awards.  I know that many of you have been voting regularly and I REALLY appreciate it!

Until a few months ago I had never heard of the UK Blog Awards and I'm sure that most of you probably hadn't heard of them until you started seeing me beg for votes!  So I thought I'd share a little bit of information about what they are and why I joined.

What are the UK Blog Awards?

From the website:

" The awards are an exciting and uplifting time for the digital industry of Blogging professionals.

For what may seem like a lifetime, company employees and private individuals have been found Blogging about opinions, facts and sharing good practice with viewers of the worldwide web since the early 1990s.

So here at the UKBA we thought it was about time that individual Bloggers and companies received recognition for all your well earned innovative opinions and content!

The UK Blog Awards has been created to recognise true viral style and creative excellence across a variety of 16 UK industries."

For the month of January, the public is allowed to vote for their favourite blogs.  The last day of voting is the 28th of January and on the 29th, 10 finalists from each category will be announced!

I have entered into two categories: (1) Education (2) Health and Social Care

The public is allowed to vote once every day!

During the month of February, experts in each field will judge the finalists and the winners in each category will be announced at the awards evening in April.

The Prize:
- recognised as the UK's best individual blog in my cateogry
- opportunity to write for my category sponsor or panel judge
- prestigious award and badge image for me to display on my blog
- marketing and PR activity to market my blog

Why I joined

To be honest, I just thought it would be a fun challenge!  I by no means think that I have the best blog out there...I've only been writing it for a few months! But I would love to become a finalist.  I am the only Speech and Language Therapy blog in the competition and becoming a finalist would shed some light and awareness onto our field.  I have a passion for what I do and I love sharing that passion with the world!  (Also, if I do become one of the finalists, I get to attend the gala awards evening which will provide me with the perfect excuse to buy a new fancy dress and get my nails done!)

I need your help!

The great thing about these awards is that finalists are chosen based on the number of votes that they receive.  That's where YOU (yes you!) come in!  I need your votes!  I may not have hundreds of twitter followers like some of the other nominees do but I do have some very loyal friends, family, and blog followers who I hope will click the button below and vote for me.  And please don't forget that you can vote every day! It literally only takes a few seconds and it would could make all the difference.
